Kareem Abdul-Jabbar talk at UWM
The Muslim Student Association (MSA) and Sociocultural Programming (SP) took the large goal of having Kareem Abdul-Jabbar talk at UWM. This was the largest event for the MSA and SP. As the lead designer on this project, I collaborated with the clients to create concepts. It was a request from Kareem’s representative to not have a basketball orientated campaign and the client wanted a blueprint feel with icons to show his accomplishments. While balancing the design and communication with clients, I created a design system that scaled from large scale banners to fliers. The design system stayed consistent throughout campus to external organizations. Expectations for attendance was surpassed. Ps. I got his signature on the brochure I designed and he tweeted out the design to his 2 million followers.
